The New East Side aka Lakeshore East is a master-planned mixed use urban development built by the Magellan Development Group in the Loop community area of Chicago where the downtown golf course once stood not so long ago. This area features several of the tallest buildings in Chicago and may include a few of the tallest buildings in the United States. It is bordered by the Chicago River, Lake Shore Drive and lake Michigan, Randolph and Millenium Park on the South and Michigan Avenue on the west.
